Mammoth Ivory 1911 Full Size Grips with incredible deep rich color and fabulous grain.  The color comes from the minerals in the wet soil the tusk was buried in for thousands of years and the grain is naturally occurring but is is usually rather plain, not spectacular like these.  Glare at the tops is from the lights, these grips are pictured with fancy Swirl screws available as an option.   Available Magwell, Standard or Bobtail cut.  The wax will protect them, we recommend you get a can.

Made from genuine woolly mammoth/mastodon ivory from Alaska and the Yukon (all legal to ship world wide with the exceptions of New York and New Jersey). This ivory is at least 10,000 years old and we use only the best quality to insure that they are as tough as modern elephant ivory but, with the magic that only extinct prehistoric furry elephant ivory has.

Non-structural fractures, fissures, watermarks and varying coloration are typical of mammoth ivory, just a part of their natural beauty and uniqueness.  Our ivory grips have been stabilized and are guaranteed against breakage for life!
