Probably the foremost scrimshander -- or scrimshaw artist -- of our time, as well as a maritime illustrator and author of numerous books, William Gilkerson's style is exceptionally clean and simple. He conveys much meaning with a few lines. Studying his style of scrimshaw is highly recommended for scrimshanders today. This is a fine book. Paperback, 119 pages, 134 photos.
