This is an excellent Time-Life book written in that wonderful A.B.C. Whipple style that makes for such fascinating reading. Many beautiful color whaling paintings are reproduced within, as well as numerous photographs and images of ships, whales, scrimshaw and portraits. This book is hardbound, with black leatherette covering and gold lettering. It has 176 pages. Well worth owning. Out of print, but we generally have several copies available for $30 (or less, depending on condition).
