SCR01(A) DOCK SCENE - Whaling ship docked at a building-lined wharf, nice and unusual.
SCR01(B) "MYSTIC WHALER" declares the banner to the left of this handsome whaling ship. Great piece.
SCR01(C) SERAPIS VS BON HOMME RICHARD - One of America's great naval victories against the British is depicted here, both ships firing their cannons. Quite nice.
SCR01(D) WHALING SHIP with smoke rolling up from the rendering operation. A sail-rigged long boat is headed towards it, separated by huge swells.


SCR14(A) POLAR BEAR crouched on an iceberg watching a ship sailing on the horizon.
SCR14(C) SAILING BOAT gaff and boom rigged with gulls circling overhead, only


SCR18(AA) KILLER WHALE leaping out of the water, columns of foam and water rise along side it.
SCR18(B) SHIP - Fine detailed scrimshaw, very nice.
SCR18(C) "NANTUCKET SLEIGH RIDE" - Fine detail on this boat full of whalers being pulled by a harpooned whale. Excellent piece.
SCR18(D) SPERM WHALES - Mother and calf diving, nice work.


SCR33 “CHARLES W. MORGAN” reads the banner under this handsome rendition of the most famous and only surviving whaling ship.
SCR34 A WHALER IN THE ARCTIC - The entire Artic whaling fleet was lost in Sept. 1871 when an early freeze up locked ’em in ice and crushed them all.
SCR35 “BREACHING CLOSE TO HOME” - The ship as well as the longboats were in danger of loss due to a enraged whale. “Moby Dick” was taken from a true event, the sinking of the Essex.
