We make genuine ivory grips, but we offer these simulated ivory grips simply because they are the best (and we should know) on the market, even though they are not the most expensive. You will be pleased. If you prefer the old ivory look, we can age them for a rich but subtle antique look for $20 more. We have offered these fine grips for over 20 years and sold thousands of them with many happy customers.
Some "handy/crafty" customers have taken the time to hand sand, round and polish the edges and just "dial them in," which is possible thanks to the unique material these grips are made of. If you are not the handy/crafty type but would like your grips "dialed in," we are now offering that service for an additional $20—but chances are if you are like most of our grip purchasers over the years, you will be pleased with the grips without this. Furthermore, if you mail us your back strap, we will fit the grips to your personal gun, not just to our frame (2 day turn-around time). "Dialing in" entails rounding/sanding the machined edges and re-polishing to a glassy finish. If you want to "dial them in" yourself, just use 240 grit paper to round, then finish with a 400 paper or finer and buff with a canvas wheel with tripoli and then white rouge.
Genuine Ruger medallions are $15 per set installed (your choice of 3 variations). When you put the grips on your gun, do not over-tighten the screw, just snug it down.

If you have a Blackhawk with the black checkered grips, then it has the internal grip frame lock mechanism and you will need to specify this so we can inlet the inside of the grip panels. -$45, aged add $20, custom fitted add $20, medallions (choose) add $15

If you have a newer model, you may require the Blackhawk grip (confusing, I know). You need to remove the grips and see if the frame is stamped "RED" or XR3. If it is, then order the Blackhawk grips for your Super Blackhawk. -$45, aged add $20, custom fitted add $20, medallions (choose) add $15
