The look and feel of ivory grips at a fraction of the cost and without the wait. These are tough grips that can be carved or scrimshawed and will acquire a patinae with age. Far superior to other imitation ivory grips on the market, perfect for the gun owner that wants the look without the cost. We highly recommend these to scrimshaw artists, excellent for you to scrimshaw for your clients with handguns.
MEDALLIONS for Colt or S. & W. grips are available for $15 extra per set installed. Colt medallions are available in gold only; S. & W. in silver, gold, antique bronze and antique silver.
MEDALLIONS (red or black) for Ruger grips are available for $15 extra per set installed.
Custom scrimshaw starts at about $75 per panel and can go up from there, depending on detail and coverage. Our artists can do any wildlife, insignias, banners, human figures, etc. If you have an image you'd like to have custom scrimshawed, it's very helpful if you can provide a picture or a sketch. Custom scrimshaw takes about three weeks from the time the grips are ready to scrimshaw, and we will quote you a price upon receipt of your images.

Made from Western big leaf maple burl with an incredibly wild grain. These grips have been stabilized, so there is no need to worry about shrinking, warping or cracking.

We have three types of bone that we use for making pistol grips, pre-1972 walrus jawbone (off white to golden brown), mammoth leg bone (off white to chocolate brown) and stellar sea cow rib bone (light brown to medium brown), which was from an animal hunted to extinction by the late 1700s. Let us know your bone or color choice.

We have been hand crafting ivory handgun grips for over 30 years. We have been accused by another grip maker of charging more for spectacular ivory grips, but if you compare our prices you'll see that we don't charge more, we charge the same or less and give you a choice of spectacular or plainer looking ivory; we actually discount the plainer looking grips. The following are our most popular grips and we keep them in stock, they are by no means the only grips we can make. If you have a gun you would like grips for that is not shown below please call to discuss it with us. If we don't have or can't get your make and model gun and you want grips, then you can ship direct to our FFL holder here in Brinnon and he can return it directly back to you. Turnaround time on customers' guns is about a week. Not a single gun sent to us in 30 years has been lost or damaged.
GP03 COLT, SPRINGFIELD OR KIMBER FULL SIZE .45 AUTO IVORY GRIPS
These will fit any of the 1911 or 1911-A1 frame auto pistols and are approximately 4 inches tall. No fitting required, just take off your old grips and put ours on! Let us know if they are for a Kimber with a magwell as these grips are flush cut, not beveled on the bottom, and if you have an ambidextrious safety (requires inletting on the left grip). Shipping $7.50.

GP03.4 COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY IVORY GRIPS
Because of the frame variations we strongly recommend that you ship your gun to us for a custom fit. The turnaround time is approximately one week. You need to send your gun overnight Federal Express or U.P.S. with an adult signature required, do not ship by U.S. Mail. You do not need to have a dealer ship it, you can ship it yourself to our FFL holder: Ken Gaul, 246 Robinson Road, Brinnon, WA 98320. You can remove the cylinder to reduce shipping weight if you wish. No firearm being shipped to or from us has ever been lost or damaged; however, we understand the special relationship between a man and his guns and recommend insuring for a price you would be happy to sell at. Available in two piece with screw or one piece (no screw). If you don't want to send your gun and can do the final fitting yourself on a slightly oversize grip let us know.

These grips will also fit a Super Blackhawk with the round trigger guard. These will not fit the early Single Six version that has three screws on the frame; please notify us if you require grips for this gun. No fitting required.
