HORSE (NTIL-A262) Admired in Japan as a steed by warriors and an object of worship (white horses had the role of hearing confessions in Shinto purification rituals). Has head down-$160.

KAIBUTSU (NTILA-DB170) The Japanese name for fantastic animals. This certainly is with ram's horns, sneering baboon's face, cat's tail and a beard. A favorite of ours-$150.

KAPPA (NTIL-A358) A river troll with turtle shell back, large claws, a great piece-$125.

KIRIN-FIRE DRAGON (NTIL-A278) One of the four Chinese creatures called shizui which means signs of good omen (you wouldn't think so by looking at them). This creature is a unicorn with the body of a stag and skin like a dragon. It is sitting with head up, mouth open and flames wrapped around its front legs. A little larger than most and a fine netsuke-$200.
