Contrary to popular belief hippo tusks are ivory. A variety of shapes and sizes, some have a tough enamel which is so hard it will spark on a bandsaw blade and ruin it in seconds.

RH01 HIPPOPOTAMUS TUSKS - "LOWER CURVED" - These have lovely fluted enamel on the outside. The following are examples to indicate size/cost. Each tusk varies so order by size or price according to your needs.
RH02 HIPPO STRAIGHTS Versatile but scarce, they look like small elephant tusks, have no enamel, and are great for carving, scrimshaw and knife handles (solid center sections and tips available).

RH04 HIPPOPOTAMUS TUSKS - "UPPER CURVED" These rarely crack, have very small hollows & an enamel-less area perfect for horizontal scrimshaw scenes. Slightly curved, self standing. They also make good knife handles. This a just a sampling of our stock.
(A) 1 1/4" diam x 6" long-$20.
(B) 1 1/4" diam x 5 1/2" long. Tip reshaped, sanded and polished. Great for small knife handle or scrimshaw. Looks like a small whale tooth. This could be done with any of these tusks-$38.
(C) 1 1/4" diam x 7 1/2" long-$34.
(D) 1 1/2" diam x 8 1/2" long-$42.50.
