POLAR BEAR RUGS AND FUR
For the first time since 1972 it is possible to order a polar bear rug in the U.S. We have a limited selection of legal polar bear rugs and polar bear fur and skin pieces for fly tying. All the polar bear products we offer are pre-1972 vintage and are exempt from the Marine Mammal Protection Act and are therefore legal to sell within the United States. When necessary we replace the felt trim and cloth backing and do repairs if needed. Rugs that are beyond repair are "recycled" for fly tiers and craft people.
Polar Bear Rug

Rare pre-1972 polar bear rug is in very good condition with new felt and backing, complete with all its claws. The length is 8' from nose to hind paw. The photo does not accurately show the rich warm ivory color of this rug. Easily worth $6,000, priced at only-$4,500.


POLAR BEAR FUR

Polar bear fur for fly fishing lures. Polar bear fur is legendary in the fly-tying world and there is no substitute, priced at only $6 per square inch of skin (with 1 1/2" to 2" long fur); buy 10" or more for $5 per square inch. We have pieces that have shorter (wool like) fur for $2 per square inch.
