A gallery of fine scrimshaw on fossil walrus teeth and tusks, hippo, mammoth, warthog and elephant tusks and ivory. The scrimshaws shown can be modified to fit on larger or smaller pieces of any of the types of ivory that we stock or on pistol grips, knife handles or even your own ivory, which we can sand and polish and mount on a base if you desire. Most of our scrimshaw pieces are done by renowned Northwest artist David Adams, and are signed by the artist.

Scrimshawed Fossil Walrus Teeth
We have a wide variety of fossil walrus teeth beautifully scrimshawed in color by one of today’s top scrimshandersDavid Adams. A few pieces are also available by other artists. These teeth are from 200 to 3,000 years old, usually golden brown color in color, and generally 2" to 2-1/2" long or tall. Each tooth is mounted on an exotic hardwood base. These scenes can also be done in larger sizes on other types of ivory, such as mammoth or fossil walrus, or on pistol grips, buckles or knives. We can also work with your ivory.
