1911 Mammoth Ivory Grips 26C

Mammoth Ivory 1911 Full Size Grips these are the very best with light ivory color and excellent grain or figure also know as Schreger lines that are found in prehistoric and modern elephant ivory.  These were made from a tusk perfectly preserved for thousands of years.  We only have a few pairs like this and no more of that ivory to cut. The screws shown are Cross and can be ordered for $20 per set, we recommend getting the Renaissance Wax to preserve the high shine.  Glare at the top of the grips is from the lights reflecting on the highly polished ivory.  The screws are Cross and can be ordered separately. Magwell or Standard Butt Cut only,  No Amby Available on these grips.

Made from genuine woolly mammoth/mastodon ivory from Alaska, the Yukon or Siberia (all legal to ship world wide with the exceptions of New York and New Jersey). This ivory is at least 10,000 years old and we use only the best quality to insure that they are as tough as modern elephant ivory but, with the magic that only extinct prehistoric furry elephant ivory has.

Non-structural fractures, fissures, watermarks and varying coloration are typical of mammoth ivory, just a part of their natural beauty and uniqueness.  Our ivory grips have been stabilized and are guaranteed against breakage for life!
