Mammoth Ivory Tusk Section 27

Description

Mammoth Tusk Section recovered in the Yukon, this piece is 4 1/4” tall, the bottom is 2 1/2” diameter.  It has  layers and is a craggy piece with layer separation that is commonly found in mammoth ivory but not much useable material.  If the section is cut into shorter lengths it will come apart into “plates”or layers that can possibly be shaped into jewelry. This piece would be best for display only.
