Renaissance Wax is a brand of microcrystalline wax polish.
For years customers have asked how best to care for their ivory items, we have the answer, Renaissance Wax! Great for guns, knives and the ivory on them and list goes on, see the uses sheet images. Extraordinary wax polish restores, refreshes and protects fine furniture, antiques, precious metals, collectibles, art, ivory, firearms and much more. It's also ideal for use as a friction finish for woodturning. It dries hard instantly, resists liquid spillage, does not show finger marks, freshens colors, and imparts a soft sheen.
Developed by the British Museum in the early 1950s for fine art conservation, Renaissance Wax Polish is a blend of highly refined micro-crystalline fossil-origin waxes. It can be used on virtually all solid surface materials - even paper. The #1 choice of museums, galleries and professionals worldwide!
Apply the wax lightly, then lightly buffed with a smooth lint-free cloth to give a sheen. Where the shape of the item requires, a brush may be used instead. It is also used in jewelry making to preserve the patina of the metal.Obviously the application technique and tools must be appropriate to any specific needs of the item being treated.
For furniture, apply sparingly with a soft cloth and buff gently. Made in England.
