Made from the outer layer or "bark" of  a genuine woolly mammoth/mastodon ivory from Alaska, these are standard butt cut and will fit a full size 1911. This ivory is naturally colored from centuries in wet mineral rich soil and has and is at least 10,000 years old.  We use only the best quality to insure that they are as tough as modern elephant ivory but, with the amazing appeal that only prehistoric mammoth ivory has.

Non-structural cracks and fissures are common in mammoth ivory bark and part of its natural beauty and uniqueness.
