Beautiful full size 1911 mammoth ivory grips, these are as light ias the lightest elephant ivory and have very good grain (figure) showing.  The glare on the panels is from the lights on the very highly polished surfaces.  Each panel has a small stabilized hairline crack on the edge that does not show from the front and will not increase, they are discounted accordingly.  Available with magwell butt as shown or can be modified to standard butt. We are nearly out of these perfectly preserved mammoth ivory grips which are so unlike the very heavily cracked, stained, dyed and glued mammoth ivory commonly seen, this looks the way ivory is supposed to look but rarely does in mammoth. Our grips are made from genuine woolly mammoth/mastodon ivory from Alaska and Yukon. This ivory is at least 10,000 years old and we use only the best quality to insure that they are as tough as modern elephant ivory but with the appeal that extinct prehistoric mammoth ivory has.
