Polished Mammoth Tusk Section recovered in the Yukon, this piece is 8 1/2" tall, the bottom width is 2 1/4"- 2 1/2"  It has layer separation that are commonly found in mammoth ivory.  Polished window on front side for scrimshaw.  If the section is cut in half shorter lengths it will come apart into “plates”or layers that can then be shaped into jewelry or pocket knife handles etc. or kept as a display piece., good for carvings, figurines too.  A unique display piece.
