Large Azores Sperm Whale Tooth pre 1972 Carved Ash Tray

Description

 This handsome tooth is 5" long, has a very nice shape and was carved many years ago to be used as an ash tray (barely used) the antique ivory patina is very rich and carved are the letters STA MARIA-ACORES (Portuguese for Santa Maria Island Azores, one of the last places where rowing and sailing long boats were used to harpoon whales from the 1800's until 1987.  This tooth could be re carved into a very nice whale ivory pendant.  This cannot be sold or shipped out of Washington state due to Federal Law so please do not order this if you do not have a Washington State address, we will cancel and refund the order, it will be a waste of your time and ours.  Thank you.
