Narwhal Tusk Section vintage 4 1/2” long piece is 1 3/4” diameter on the small end and 2” diameter on the big end.  This piece has a hollow center where the nerve ran and the typical shallow surface cracks in the twisting.  Could be used for a large knife handle, pistol grips, sliced for jewelry or kept as is. The tusk this section came from was imported into the U. S. before 1972 and predates the Marine Mammal Protection Act and is legal to ship in interstate commerce and own in every state altho buying and selling is banned in some states.
